Woodbury Jewish Center offers learning opportunities for everyone at every stage of life.
Laughter and song resound through the hallways of our Early Childhood Education Center with programs for children as young as three months old. Our programs for two, three and four year old children offer just the right balance of learning, play and socialization. Our outdoor classroom and STEAM room are state of the art and our professional staff is warm and caring.
Experiential learning drives our Religious School. We mix high energy activities, art projects and study with class trips and visiting workshops to immerse our students in their Jewish heritage and culture. When they complete our program, students have the ability to fully participate in all synagogue services and events as well as celebrations of holidays and life cycle events in the home.
Our adult education programs are stimulating and enlightening. Taught primarily by our Rabbi and Cantor, they often feature visiting speakers and educators. Cantor Cohen also teaches a popular two-year Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah program enjoyed and celebrated by many of our congregants.
Our Sisterhood and Men's Club have joined forces to create Kehila, which literally means 'community.' Our Kehila Committee brings all kinds of learning opportunities to WJC. From baking challah to Kosher wine tastings, there is always something interesting to experience.
Our seniors program, called SAGES, brings together our community of elders with a varity of guest speakers and entertainers.
Woodbury Jewish Center prides itself on providing opportunities to satisfy every appetite for Jewish learning, spiritual growth, and modern discourse on our ancient religion.
